All-electric Macan

Introducing the Next Chapter in Electrification: Prototypes of The All-electric Macan

In a relatively short span, the Macan has garnered a devoted following since its debut in 2014. Porsche responded to the burgeoning popularity of crossover vehicles by introducing the Macan, strategically bridging the gap between their iconic sports cars and SUVs. While the Cayenne, in production since 2003, catered to the SUV market, the Macan artfully combined SUV practicality with the exhilaration of a sports car. Equipped with Porsche’s Doppel Kupplungs transmission (PDK), dynamic powertrain options, and industry-leading driving dynamics, it became the ideal choice for those seeking both driving pleasure and everyday practicality.

Within just three years, the Macan soared to become the best-selling model in Porsche’s lineup. Evolving through three generations, the latest iteration, Macan III, was unveiled in Q4 of 2021, featuring variants like the Macan 4, Macan T, Macan S, and the powerful Macan GTS, generating an impressive 434hp and maintaining its reputation for superior performance.

What lies ahead for our beloved Macan? Electrification.

Today marks a moment of Porsche history and something very special for electric vehicle enthusiasts as they unveil the highly anticipated All Electric Porsche Macan.

Under the visionary leadership of Oliver Blume, the President and CEO of Porsche AG, this spectacular revelation came to life against the breathtaking backdrop of the famous Gardens by the Bay in Singapore.

The unveiling event was a testament to Porsche’s core principles – FOCUS and PASSION.

Building upon the success of the Taycan, this NEW All Electric Porsche Macan stands as the brand’s second venture into the realm of all-electric models.

With a commitment to pushing boundaries and setting new standards, the Macan has taken the Porsche driving experience to an unprecedented level.

From Performance to Design, the Macan’s evolution has surpassed expectations, solidifying its position as a trailblazer in the electric vehicle landscape. Boasting a remarkable 613km range, this EV is not just a technological marvel but a practical and usable car for a wide range of drivers.

The innovations incorporated into the new Macan will surely earn this the title of the best EV to-date by industry experts.

T3.com succinctly captured the essence of this groundbreaking vehicle, stating, “It’s a car that performs like a Porsche – but behaves like a smartphone.”

As we usher in a new era of sustainable and high-performance driving, the All Electric Porsche Macan signifies a bold step towards a greener and more exhilarating automotive future.

Celebrating this remarkable achievement and the continued legacy of Porsche’s dedication to excellence.

Before the all-electric Macan hits the market, it will have undergone rigorous testing, covering over 3 million kilometers worldwide in diverse conditions. These extensive test kilometers are instrumental in ensuring top-notch quality, even in the first year of production.

Porsche has a rich history in electric vehicles, with the Cayenne and Panamera available as hybrids since 2010 and plug-in hybrids since 2014. The 918 Spyder marked Porsche’s initial foray into high-performance electrification, and in 2019, the groundbreaking Porsche Taycan set a new standard for electric performance.

Currently, the Porsche Taycan Turbo S holds the electric vehicle lap record at Nurburgring Nordschleife. The Macan EV will seamlessly continue Porsche’s legacy of electric excellence.
