Sony PS3, gaming in the next generation now.

So you want a PS3 but are not sure of what to get, do i get an XBOX 360, or Wii??? Well the answer is easy.

In my opinion when you purchase a gaming console you are buying it for today and for the next few years to come at least.

The XBOX 360 has been around now for a while and is a very good strong console with excellent games under its belt.

But is this the future. The PS3 is producing the same excellent graphics today when game developers are learning how to program the software for the PS3. Once the gaming developers have moved on and are more experienced, will there be any competition?

Well yes, I believe there will be a new XBOX 360.

The other argument is Blue Ray or HD DVD?

Who knows where this will lead to, a battle of the formats that seemed to be being backed by the largest company’s going with Blue Ray, but today they are now doing both formats.

So again it’s a split option.

I don’t think cost should be the decider in which console and if you buy an XBOX 360 with all the HD bits ,etc you have spent the same money as if you had brought a PS3.

So if i brought a PS3 today is this the gaming console for the future.

In my opinion yes it is. It will give you the thrills of HD graphics with the Media Center functionality and Blue Ray Player now with game developers learning more and more every day with regards to the programming to get the full potential of the PS3.
